Enhancing manufacturing competitiveness of SME’s through various Lean Manufacturing (LM) techniques.
Infocareer has been associated with small and medium scale manufacturing firms. Transition in businesses can be a lengthy process, we support our clients by improving their supply-chain system and achieving efficient Lean manufacturing processes. The goal is to provide the customer with a defect free product or service when needed and in the quantity it is needed.
Our team of experts support in thorough use and implementation of Lean tools and techniques in the following areas of production:
Improving quality
Eliminating waste
Reduce cycle time
Reduce total cost
Lean practices implemented by Infocareer with SME’s in the manufacturing industry include:
5S System
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Lean Manufacturing processes that lead to sustainable changes.
Reducing waste
Increasing productivity
Introducing innovative practices for improving overall competitiveness
Imbibing a culture of continuous improvement
The general approach involves engagement of our Lean Manufacturing Consultants (LMC) to work with the SMEs and reducing their manufacturing costs through proper personnel management, better space utilization, scientific inventory management, improved process flows, and reduced engineering time, and so on. We leverage LM techniques to reduce “waste” in manufacturing.
The interventions lead to an increase in competitiveness of the manufacturing units i.e., they can manufacture better quality products with less cost, standardize processes, reduce waste and processing time. The extent of tangible benefits depends upon the scope of improvement, benchmarking and involvement of the entrepreneurs/units. All these aspects are researched, analyzed and included in the Diagnostic Study Report, prepared by the LM Consultant at the beginning of the interventions.
